Summer of 2010

  • In today’s global environment, there are so many business networks and social media groups, that a careful selection of where to get engaged is absolutely conditional. Because any membership in a global or regional interest group without being able or interested to get personally and actively involved, is a vast of time and money. ESOMAR is a global association for enabling better research into markets, consumers and societies; established over 60 years ago; with now 5’000 members in one-hundred countries. HQC joined ESOMAR and believes to be able to profit and contribute from its participation in the Netherlands-based business organisation.   • We communicated about our thoughts on “Quality begins with Attitude” (see articles in the media sector) and our great experience in South Africa. HQC handled several mystery tests during the World Cup and we were very pleased to learn that the additional stress (and lack of experience) did not prevent many hotels and transport companies to provide friendly and as-efficient-as-possible service. Sometimes, it is really interesting to test service-providers during their top season – because then, true quality becomes visible.

  • HQC is preparing its first active appearance in China: on the occasion of Beijing’s leading meeting, incentive and business travel exhibition CIBTM (Aug 31 - Sep 2), HQC will be exhibiting and, on the same time, participate in the educational program with a speech on ‘quality in the hotel industry’ (presented by the CEO).
